About
Hi, I’m Stewart Patton, founder of U.S. Tax Services. I am a U.S. tax attorney and tax return preparer. My practice focuses on (i) assisting U.S. citizens who live or invest outside the United States, (ii) structuring cross-border businesses and investments, and (iii) helping non-U.S. financial institutions understand and comply with FATCA
I am a member of the Illinois Bar and have been issued a Preparer Tax Identification Number by the Internal Revenue Service. I attended Texas A&M University and the University of Houston Law Center (where I graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif).
I live full-time in Belize with my wife (who grew up here) and our two kids (ages 6 and 4). Before moving to Belize, I was a partner in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, a worldwide law firm with over 1,500 attorneys.
